    The Virginia Society of Ornithology, of which PVBC is a member chapter puts on great field trips!

    Joining the VSO is required but then the field trips are free (travel and lodging are on your own).

    Many club members enjoy the VSO field trips.

    Blue Ridge Young Birders Club

    PVBC sponsors a young birders club to foster discovery and learning about Virginia’s birds in children ages 7-16.

    The Blue Ridge Young Birders Club meets monthly during the first Saturday bird walks at Ivy Creek. There is no cost to participate in our monthly meetup. Parents are welcome to join. We strive to be ADA compliant. Loaner binoculars are available courtesy of PVBC.
