Thanks to volunteers Leigh Surdukowski, Jim Surdukowski, and Tana Herndon, you can learn more about birds while watching them in the Quiet Area/Bird Watching Area! A box has been placed near the bench closest to the feeders with laminated sheets that have information on common birds in the Quiet Area, how to attract birds to your home garden, and hummingbirds and the plants in the recently-planted hummingbird garden, which is by the bench to the right in the photo below. Many of the pictures were taken by volunteer photographers Bob Gore, William Kurtz, and Guy Babineau. Come check the information out and learn more about our feathered friends!

Blue Ridge Young Birders Club
PVBC sponsors a young birders club to foster discovery and learning about Virginia’s birds in children ages 7-16.
The Blue Ridge Young Birders Club meets monthly during the first Saturday bird walks at Ivy Creek. There is no cost to participate in our monthly meetup. Parents are welcome to join. We strive to be ADA compliant. Loaner binoculars are available courtesy of PVBC.
