    Field Trip to Schuyler Quarry Gardens

    PVBC is hosting two field trips on Sunday, April 26. See events for details on the other field trip.

    PVBC is excited to announce another field trip to the lovely Quarry Gardens of Schuyler in Nelson County. Club trip leaders will help participants find birds while Rachel Floyd, Director of the Gardens, will guide us around the property pointing out plants, especially spring wildflowers! The guided walk ends at 10 AM, but folks are welcome to leave early or continue exploring afterwards. The Gardens offer several miles of trails (with some inclines), two soapstone quarries and varied, forested habitat which attracts many local birds.  Learn more about this unique property on their website.     Blue Ridge Young Birders Club

    PVBC sponsors a young birders club to foster discovery and learning about Virginia’s birds in children ages 7-16. The Blue Ridge Young Birders Club meets monthly during the first Saturday bird walks at Ivy Creek and conducts field trips in the Charlottesville area.
