    Grassland Bird Walk: Whisper Hill Farm

    Piedmont Virginia Bird Club has partnered with the Piedmont Environmental Council to host a bird walk targeting grassland bird species at Whisper Hill Farm near Scottsville in Albemarle County.

    This event is free and open to all, but registration is required: https://www.pecva.org/event/grassland-bird-walk/ Participants must also submit a participation waiver.

    We’ll be walking about two miles a produce farm with mostly flat fields. The farm has large paths but terrain may be rocky. Learn more at the registration link.

    Blue Ridge Young Birders Club

    PVBC sponsors a young birders club to foster discovery and learning about Virginia’s birds in children ages 7-16.

    The Blue Ridge Young Birders Club meets monthly during the first Saturday bird walks at Ivy Creek. There is no cost to participate in our monthly meetup. Parents are welcome to join. We strive to be ADA compliant. Loaner binoculars are available courtesy of PVBC.
