    Annual Nighthawk Watch

    Don’t miss the exciting evening flights of migrating nighthawks! Join Scott Connuck at Ivy Creek Natural Area to watch these charming birds perform acrobatics as they feed over the farm’s fields along with swifts, swallows, raptors and other birds.
    Weather date: Thursday August 28. Be sure to join our Facebook for timely trip updates.

    Meet in the parking lot at 7 PM. Scott will lead the group on a short walk to the open area near the barn. Bring binoculars, bug spray and if desired, a chair or blanket. This event is very accessible, with flat, paved paths and grass. Restrooms are on site.

    Blue Ridge Young Birders Club

    PVBC sponsors a young birders club to foster discovery and learning about Virginia’s birds in children ages 7-16. The Blue Ridge Young Birders Club meets monthly during the first Saturday bird walks at Ivy Creek and conducts field trips in the Charlottesville area.
