    Events

    Fall migration is heating up! Join trip leader JoAnn Dalley to see what migrants are stopping over at McIntire Park in Charlottesville. The group may also walk the trails at the adjacent Botanical Garden of the Piedmont, depending on time and accessibility.

    • Park and meet at the Skate Park Parking Lot.
    • The walk will mostly be on flat, grass and paved trails. Some steep hills and a creek crossing is required to access the Botanical Garden of the Piedmont.
    • Restrooms available nearby
    • Bring water, comfortable hiking shoes, bug spray and binoculars

    Blue Ridge Young Birders Club

    PVBC sponsors a young birders club to foster discovery and learning about Virginia’s birds in children ages 7-16. The Blue Ridge Young Birders Club meets monthly during the first Saturday bird walks at Ivy Creek and conducts field trips in the Charlottesville area.
