    PVBC Bird Walk: Chris Greene Lake

    Join Guy Babineau for a walk around Chris Greene Lake Park in Albemarle County to look for ducks, woodpeckers, kingfishers and much more!

    • This walk is free and open to all.
    • Meet at the parking area just before crossing the dam: 4748 Chris Greene Lake Road
      Charlottesville, VA 22911      .
    • The trails are mostly flat with a few small but steep hills. Some sections have lots of roots and tricky footing. Expect about 2 miles of hiking.
    • Restrooms are available on site (even in the winter).

    Blue Ridge Young Birders Club

    PVBC sponsors a young birders club to foster discovery and learning about Virginia’s birds in children ages 7-16. The Blue Ridge Young Birders Club meets monthly during the first Saturday bird walks at Ivy Creek and conducts field trips in the Charlottesville area.
