    Field Trip to Albemarle Ciderworks

    Field Trip Leader:

    Join Will Kurtz for a spring exploration at Albemarle Ciderworks. Starting at 10 a.m., walk the trails in search of migrant birds and spring flowers, and then relax at the Ciderworks sharing notes and possibly sipping their artisan cider in the comfortable tasting room or picnic tables outside.  There is a pond as well as the orchards. The trails in the forest have some incline, and one section (optional, it can be avoided) is steep.

    Blue Ridge Young Birders Club

    PVBC sponsors a young birders club to foster discovery and learning about Virginia’s birds in children ages 7-16. The Blue Ridge Young Birders Club meets monthly during the first Saturday bird walks at Ivy Creek and conducts field trips in the Charlottesville area.
