    Bird Walk: James River Runners

    Field Trip Leader: Amy Paquette

    Join Amy Paquette to bird along the James River in Scottsville. This walk will mostly explore around the James River Runners (water sports outfitters) property.

    • This walk is free and open to anyone. No registration or RSVP required.
    • Meet at 8 a.m. in front of 10092 Hatton Ferry Rd, Scottsville. There is a big parking lot to the left across from the offices.
    • Walk will traverse less than a mile along mostly flat trails.
    • Potential birds include: White-eyed Vireos, Warbling Vireos, Indigo Buntings, Northern Parulas, Orchard and maybe Baltimore Orioles.
    • A restroom is available on site.
    • Carpooling is encouraged.

    Blue Ridge Young Birders Club

    PVBC sponsors a young birders club to foster discovery and learning about Virginia’s birds in children ages 7-16. The Blue Ridge Young Birders Club meets monthly during the first Saturday bird walks at Ivy Creek and conducts field trips in the Charlottesville area.
