Join George Arnold for a bird walk at Totier Creek Park in southern Albemarle County near Scottsville. This county-managed park spans more than 200 acres, with a 90-acre reservoir. The park is great for finding ducks, herons, osprey, kingfishers migratory songbirds and other water and woodland loving species. Learn more about the park on the Albemarle County website.
- This event is free and open to all; no registration required.
- The address is 9290 Totier Creek Road, Scottsville, VA 24590
- Meet at the lower lot by driving all the way to the bottom and bearing right at the fork, then go past the boat ramp.
- The walk will cover about two miles. The trails are well-maintained but hilly, with many roots and uneven footing. Wear sturdy shoes!
- Restrooms are available at the park.
- Carpooling is encouraged.
