    Field Trip to Triple C Camp

    Field Trip Leader:

    PVBC has partnered with Triple C Camp to offer a birding field trip on their beautiful camp just south of Charlottesville. Join Elijah Edwards to explore the grounds in search of fall migrants and early-arriving overwintering species such as sapsuckers, winter wrens, swamp sparrows, kinglets, creepers and more. 

    This walk is free and open to all but participants must sign a liability waiver.  Please submit the waiver in advance if possible. Paper waivers will be available onsite in case of technical difficulty filling out the waiver online in advance. For the second question asking for a Program ID, enter: 26BIRD1018.(Note that the document is a general form for various groups and events,  and the bird walk does not involve a challenge course). 

    • Set your navigation to 920 Camp Rd, Charlottesville, 22902.
    • Dress and pack appropriately for the weather and varied terrain.
    • Bring a water bottle (you can refill it on site), hat if desired, sunscreen, etc.
    • Please note the camp does not allow any smoking on its premises.
    • Consider carpooling. Parking instructions will be provided upon your arrival.

    Blue Ridge Young Birders Club

    PVBC sponsors a young birders club to foster discovery and learning about Virginia’s birds in children ages 7-16. The Blue Ridge Young Birders Club meets monthly during the first Saturday bird walks at Ivy Creek and conducts field trips in the Charlottesville area.
