    Field Trip to Tufton Farms

    Join PVBC and Peggy Cornett for a unique bird walk and tour of Tufton Farm, part of the Monticello estate. We’re starting this weekday walk early so folks can participate before heading into work.

    • At the request of the host, we are capping participation at 18. Please RSVP here.
    • A signed waiver is also required to participate. Hard copies and a QR code will be available at the start to complete the waiver on your phone.
    • Meet at 1293 Tufton Farm, Charlottesville, VA, 22902
    • Parking is in the field immediately in front of the Tufton Farm nursery area. Please carpool if possible!
    • Terrain is uneven, hilly and sometimes muddy. Wear appropriate shoes and bring water.
    • Restrooms are sometimes available at the farm, reliably at Monticello visitor’s center.

    Blue Ridge Young Birders Club

    PVBC sponsors a young birders club to foster discovery and learning about Virginia’s birds in children ages 7-16. The Blue Ridge Young Birders Club meets monthly during the first Saturday bird walks at Ivy Creek and conducts field trips in the Charlottesville area.
