Field Trip Leader:
Join PVBC trip leader Janet Paisley and staff from the Rockfish Valley Foundation for a birding excursion to the Rockfish Valley Trail, a migration hotspot in Nelson County. Previous trips to this location have turned up exciting warblers and sparrows, but you never know what may be found on a walk at this spot. It will be a fun morning.
- This field trip is open to all, including children ages 7+

- This spot is about 40 minutes from Charlottesville. Meet at 721 Rockfish Valley Highway, Nellysford, VA
- The walk will traverse about a mile on relatively flat, grass trails.
- A port-a-potty is available at the park.
- Carpooling encouraged.
Directions:
Take Rte 250 West to 151 South (Critzer Shop Road).
Go 14 miles and pass through Nellysford.
Look for a gravel parking lot on the right, just beyond a small bridge over a creek.
