Join Cory Swift to see what migrants are stopping over at the Piedmont Botanical Garden in Charlottesville. This relatively small property packs some great habitat with riparian forest, meadows and woodlands that attract many birds, including warblers, sparrows and other migrants. The group may also walk the trails at the adjacent McIntire Park, depending on time and accessibility.
- This walk is free and open to all, no registration required.
- Park and meet along Melbourne Rd.
- The walk will mostly be on flat, grass and dirt. Some steep hills and a creek crossing is required to access McIntire Park.
- Restrooms available nearby.
- Bring water, comfortable hiking shoes, bug spray and binoculars
